Emily holds two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University (2007) and a B.A. in Fine Art from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado (1999). While at CSU, she was the 2006 JSR Student Award Winner from the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and was elected to serve on the CSU Design Review Board. Emily served on the Board of Directors for the Gardens on Spring Creek in Fort Collins, Colorado, from 2009 to 2010 before moving to California for 1.5 years. Upon her return, Emily served as Assistant to the Director of Plant Select, a nonprofit collaboration of Colorado State University and Denver Botanic Gardens, from 2018 to 2021, earning the Outstanding Education Materials Award, 2021 Plant Select Brochure, The American Society for Horticultural Science Extension Division (ASHS), Denver, CO. Emily has experience in public and private sector landscape architecture and design (BHA Design, Russel+Mills Studios, Detailed Landscape), and is LEED AP certified. Emily Goldman Landscape Design LLC currently provides residential design services for Northern Colorado, has been an Ambassador for the City of Fort Collins Xeriscape Incentive Program (XIP) since 2018, and supports the Denver Botanic Gardens Sustainable Landscape Services design team upon request.
