Volunteer Opportunity: Native Plant Nursery

We have a bunch of transplanting to get done in our Native Plant Nursery this 2020 Winter Season, and could use your help!
3/14 8:30am – 11:30am Volunteer Project: Transplant Native Plants (INSIDE), HPEC Greenhouse
3/28 8:30am – 11:30am Volunteer Project: Transplant Native Plants (INSIDE), HPEC Greenhouse
We will meet at the HPEC Visitor’s Center to sign in, grab water, and chat about project objectives before each volunteer opportunity begins.
There is no need to register for these projects, but please reach out to Lauren@suburbitat.org if you have any questions.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a Release Form before each project.
Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at each project.
Inform us of any injuries, illnesses, or allergies- Please keep in mind that we have multiple bee hives on site!
Communicate hours worked to the Community Services Coordinator.
Inform us of any foul play or vandalism to HPEC’s property.
Stay on task in the area you were assigned to work.
If you do not understand or remember a task, please ask us to clarify.
Layers- Dress For Inclement Weather
Water Bottle (water fountain on site)
Sunglasses & Hat/something to cover your head
Food or Snacks if needed

Directions to the High Plains Environmental Center:
From I-25 take the Loveland/Highway 34 exit. Head west on 34 to Boyd Lake Road, go north on Boyd Lake to the 2nd roundabout, head east on Long Pine Lake Drive to the end of Long Pine Lake and park on the surrounding streets.
